New World Order

Where are we going? The answer is simple, we are headed for a global collapse. Why? Because the leaders of the world's most powerful countries, particulaly Bush, are only out for their own interests. Now, this shouldn't be a problem, the main goal of any government is to look after its own citizens before anyone else. But with the rise of China and the West's constant quest for more oil we are headed for disaster. There is absolutely no way that the United States are going to sign the Kyoto Agreement. There is no way that they are going to give up their ugly, inefficient 4X4s for the benefit of others. Ladies and Gentlemen, we cannot go on like this.
The Human Race will find way, of that I have no doubt. However, there will be less food, less energy and a lower quality of life for all. Unless we can do something to avert this now.
What do I propose? A New World Order. One World, One Nation. I am not exactly certain what the Nation will be, but I know this: it must begin as a Dictatorship. However much we may hate the idea, it is the strongest form of government. We need to begin there because we need to solve all our environmental and economic problems. Once these are under control, power must change and we must become a Communist Democracy. There must be no money, everyone must be treated the same. We cannot afford to have dissaffected workers committing crimes because they have nothing else to do or because they feel oppressed. In the New World Order, all must be equal.

Umm I saw your blog after seeing your post in Jess's blog.
Socialism... now there is an interesting doctrine of government. Have you done all the 'mandatory' light reading about socialism?
I would strongly recommend the two sides of the story as described by George Orwell's "1984", which taken to extremes is described in Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" and of course Ayn Rand's (she live in a Communist country for several years) "Atlas Shrugged" is esential reading. These are the anti-communist lot. As for the pro communist bit, I would recommend quite simply that you check out "Misha", a children's magazine from the frommer USSR which I used to subscribe to as a five year old in 1988-89-90. Perhaps you've read the books - but I'm sure you haven't seen the magazine. I don't know how you'll get them now, but try.
Incidentally (as background), my country is officially a "Soverign, Socialist, Democaratic, Republic" as defined by our constitution. That was after we were looted by the Brits, but thats another story.
I also suggest you take a clear look at all the communist governments that have exited. The USSR failed. China has succeeded. A clear understanding of why this is so is necessay. I do hope you realise that Communist China has a Capitalist Economy (not the caps :)). What this means is they still have dissatisfied workers (problem typical of a capitalist society). Only, if they cause trouble, they are shot(solution typical of communist society). I'm quite sure that if all trouble makers in the UK were simply shot, you wouldn't have to many recurrences.
You mentioned dissatisfied workers, no currency, dictatorship and a communist-democracy (thats simply not possible on the ground by the way- a communist government can never be democratic)and all being equal. I agree with the dictatorship bit. Problem is, its usually nuts like Bush and Hitler who become dictators.
You see, it all boils down to that one final statement - "all are equal". There's the rub as the good Bard put it. Because we aren't. Some are smarter. Some are more har-working. Some are lazy. You can't have them all equal. Thats the flaw in Communism. "Each acoording to his ability and each according to his need" is the motto. My damn lazy-ass co-worker wants to lie around, have kids and do the bare minimum while I work my ass off, innovate, create, deliver. He has need. I have ability. So he take the fruits of my labour. Thats communism. And that I can't accept.
Instead, I suggest equal opportunity. Indeed, the reason why there is such a large disparity today is because of this. Some can affor food, some can't. Some can afford an education, others can't. Guarantee these to everyone so that everyone starts their productive life on an equal footing. Then let their own grit, determination and hard work mark the difference. The losers will lose. You can't change that. There will always be losers.
Like the US. Economically uncompetitive, arrogant, callous, barbaric. They resort to military might to buttress their flagging economy to ensure that they get what they want. Cheap oil. They don't realise that an American in America makes for a very, very expensive employee. So they bitch about outsourcing. And they wonder why everyone hates them.
Oh, and if you want a picture of your ideal society - one nation, no problems - read Arthr C. Clarke's "3001 - The Final Odyssey". Thats it. Thats what we should be aiming for.

PS: This is an average American's take on the world scenario - it was apparently first posted on a Harley Davidson forum or something...

Yes, it is indeed a typical American view of society, but if you read that link it should explain all of your questions.
Yes, I have read 1984, but not Brave New World (I didn't know 1984 could get any more extreme).
You must appreciate that The USSR was not actually Communist either (a fact glossed over in the American education system), it was much like China, I'm talking about the Communism described in the link given.)
